Halvec Laboratories Sdn Bhd (Halvec) and its affiliate RQuest Convergent Sdn Bhd (RQC) successfully exhibited in Selangor International Expo 2016 (Booth no. M07) held at MINES International Exhibition & Convention Centre (MECC), Seri Kembangan from 20 to 22 October 2016.
Selangor International Expo 2016 is one of the Malaysia’s biggest trade expo which hosted 565 booths from around the world, creating a platform for both domestic and foreign multinational companies, SMEs and entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services. This year, three industrial sectors were selected to be the focus of this expo, which are Halal, Life Sciences and E-Commerce.
“The Selangor International Expo 2016 is regarded as an important event in Selangor’s trade and investment calendar as more intense emphasis and efforts are being placed on high-technology and capital-intensive industries to enable both the private and public sectors to work in sync towards marking Selangor a “Smart State”,” said Datuk Teng Chang Khim, Selangor State Senior Executive Councillor for Investment, Industry & Commerce, SMEs & Transportation in his opening address for the expo officiated by Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Mohamed Azmin Ali at MECC.
This expo was a great platform for Halvec to introduce Halal verification services such as porcine detection via DNA analyses (PCR and Real-time PCR), porcine detection via immunoassay analyses (ELISA), porcine screening via PorcineTrace Rapid Test Kit (Strip Test) and alcohol detection (Headspace-GC-FID/MS) to local and international communities. Throughout the event, Halvec received numerous feedbacks from the visitors who are interested to join and collaborate with us.
Halvec and RQC were invited by the organizer to perform demonstration on HalTest – the new and innovative Halal Dipstick Test from Halsycon Resources (Halsycon) that had been verified by Halvec. There are two types of HalTest PorcineTrace Dipstick Tests available in the market, for raw meat sample and for processed meat/canned food sample. This device is very convenient to use as it can detect traces of pork in food within 15 minutes!
On the second day of the event, we are honored have a royal visit from Raja Muda Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah to our booth.
