Halvec Laboratories Sdn Bhd (Halvec) had organized an in-house ISO 17043 & Guide 34 training that was participated by staff from several business units of Revongen Corporation from 16-19 May 2017. The ISO 17043 is a standard specifies conformity assessment in general requirement for proficiency testing while Guide 34 is a standard specifies general requirement for the competence of reference material producer.
The training was coached by a professional consultant from United Kingdom , Mr. Leslie Coveney who is the director of Savant Technologies (a consultancy based company). He is an experienced lead and technical assessor for national accreditation bodies in the UK and Europe for ISO 17025, ISO 17043 and Guide 34. Throughout the training, participants have learned about the application of ISO 17043 and Guide 34 as well as in-depth understanding of the requirement and process behind it.
Moving forward, Halvec plans to develop and establish new ISO laboratories in the nearest future which will be known as PT (Proficiency Testing) Lab and CPP (Certified Positive Product) Lab. Halvec PT Lab shall offer Proficiency Testing program to determine the performance of Halal testing and competency of staff to measure and monitor their ability in producing high integrity test results. Halvec CPP Lab aims to provide certified positive reference material for Halal analysis.
With cohesive implementation of ISO 17025, ISO 17043 and Guide 34, we endeavor to realize our mission to develop and establish international and industry standard methods and reference materials for Halalan Toyyiban testing!
